		<description>I know what lesson can be learned. These companies need to carry out a disaster plan on their business operations and stop whining at mother nature.

Companies that decide not to ask the question, &quot;our business relies on a phone/broadband being available 100% of the time, whats our backup plan when someone or something disables that line&quot;, should never get compensation.</description>

		<description>I have read several comments suggesting working-from-home would be a viable option in such crisis, but that would only work if the business services were provided by a true cloud platform where that data/service is not affected by the outage.</description>

		<description>My broadband at home stopped working, I called Pipex and after a 10 minute wait was told it was due to the Paddington flood. I live over 35 miles away in East Sussex! Apparently my exchange is routed through Paddington. Anyway, they are trying to reroute and may or may not be successful, either way the estimated fix time from BT is 4 days, allegedly.</description>
