You are probably hearing this term everywhere, but what does it really mean? And how is it going to revolutionise business? As a cloud owner we thought it would be a good idea to explain the reasoning behind cloud computing.
What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud computing is a service in which where all your data can be stored in the “cloud” which is retrievable at any time needed, this is better than leaving all company data on one or more servers. Having data stored into the cloud means if anything ever happened to your business, for example what would happen if your building burnt down and your server was inside.
Working 8.5 hours a day sometimes just isn’t enough time and wouldn’t it be fantastic to be able to get all your work done within that timeframe, however working with one screen can sometimes be proven difficult, on the basis that you have to keep flicking back and forth from one document to another. The seconds/minutes which add up from looking at one excel spread sheet to another or one word document to another can also be frustrating.
With the increase usage of multiple monitors we look how it can increase productivity.

Buyers know to avoid questionable street-corner vendors when purchasing software for their business, yet they may not think twice about ordering software from an unfamiliar but professional looking website that offers steep discounts.
Counterfeit software can be brought in various ways such as over the internet, in discount shops or on auction sites however when you are offered a heavy discount on software, alarm bells should be ringing for you to avoid buying from this particular vendor. Counterfeiters spend a lot of time and energy making illicit software-purchasing sites look and feel like the real thing.
Remote Working is a modern day approach to our working lives which increases business productivity and competitiveness, reduce transport congestion and pollution, and improve health by reducing stress.
With the rise in smartphones, tablets and laptops this is a new-age generation of working, allowing employees to work from where they desire. Whilst travelling to work whether you take the bus, train or tube you see people with headphones in and either a smartphone in their hand or a laptop on their lap. Its fascinating to see how even when people have no internet connection such as when on the tube they are still typing away sending emails which will be delivered when they are overground. By working to and fro work its saving employees time, so rather than starting the day at 9am when they log on and check their emails they actually start at 7.30am or 8am and start checking them from then to allow themselves to start their daily tasks as soon as they get in.
If you don’t know what it is or how to play think of this game as the mobile version of Pictionary with Players guessing words based on friends’ drawings created using touchscreens. In the game, players are given words to try to illustrate by drawing on a smartphone or tablet’s touchscreen. If the friend guesses correctly, coins are earned to purchase additional items, such as more colours, within the game.

Blackberry-maker Research in Motion (RIM) has said it plans to refocus its business back onto corporate customers.
This statement came after RIM reportedly made a net loss for the three months to 3 March of £78m due to the decrease in sales of smartphones. However this isn’t surprising as they are in a highly competitive market which is continuously growing and evolving, with competitors such as Apple’s iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy and Google Android.
It’s been a disastrous year for Research in Motion, from the free BBM messenger service being blamed for helping co-ordinate riots in London last year and in October 2011 when the RIM network was down world-wide causing absolute chaos for millions of users.
