The Client

The Jasper Capital team comprises experienced investment banking and management consulting professionals with exceptional knowledge and experience. Jasper offer a full range of corporate finance services including mergers, acquisitions and disposals, raising of debt and equity (including private equity for small and medium size enterprises), project advisory and privatisation advisory services.

The Client Issues

The CFO approached Fifosys to review their existing IT arrangements and prepare them for three very significant (and very imminent) changes:

• Relocation to new business premises in Mayfair, London
• Centralising the IT Infrastructure in the UK for their other offices in Dubai, Turkey, Delhi and Abu Dhabi to access information
• The sourcing and implementation of a new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application
• Provide a solution that stopped staff from saving data to their local desktops as it was not being backed up and the business was at risk of data loss

Jasper were concerned about being able to streamline the business processing and being able to manage their multisite business operations with ease.

The Fifosys Solution

Fifosys went through several consultations with the business owners in order to recommend a solution that aligned the IT with the business strategy. There previous experience of working with an outsourced IT solutions provider was not positive and hence we had to overcome these experiences and deliver a long term positive working relationship.

The following details the work carried out:

• Business organisation consultancy and long term plans
• London office relocation
• Office Cabling and internet service
• Creating secure network tunnels between London, Dubai and Turkey
• Implemented Citrix solution
• Implemented 2 new Active Directory and Exchange servers
• Offsite backup solution
• Visit to Dubai to train 22 staff to use the new system

Fifosys continue to provide a Managed IT Support service to Jasper Capital and their growing business needs. The IT infrastructure is more reliable, more productive and more adaptable to the needs of a growing business, including:

How have Fifosys contributed to your business?
Taken all our money! Seriously, I think you have provided us with the best solution given our multi- location operation and the financial constraints we are operating with.

What difference have Fifosys provided that IT Lab did not?
They have been more proactive than our last IT advisor.

How would you rate the Fifosys Engineers?
Most of them are excellent (but I have to say some of the newer ones seem to be a little green). They are definitely not nerds and are very easy to deal with.

What don’t you like about IT in general?
Sometimes it is just plain incomprehensible to a layman (or laywoman).
