Set up and configuration
Fifosys is a leading managed services company and as such, has engineers to assist in the set up and configuration of the backup software. This includes setting the folders and files that should be backed up, the regularity of backup and the location (archive or live). Monitoring and alerts
It is not uncommon for a backup to fail in some way. With a lot of software, failures might be caused by open files, large documents, mail stores or ever changing databases; all of which mean that the backup might not be completed in the set window. While this is rare with the software Fifosys uses to manage the process, there still might be times when internet connectivity is not available or a laptop switched off and so we carefully monitor every single device. Our engineers receive alerts 24/7/365 should a backup not complete and steps are then taken to re-run the backup, with the client duly notified.

Managed recovery process
Although recovery of files can be carried out online, many clients choose to utilise the Fifosys Service Desk for this service. Some recovery instances are too large to be completed over the internet and at these times, a hard drive containing the data can be sent. Our engineers can have servers rebuilt to the exact state at the last backup or can rebuild our standby recovery servers if one is not available due to fire, flood or malfunction.
