Desktop

Helping you choose the right PC, Mac, laptop or other device for users is an important part of the IT service we provide. We have strong relationships with the major suppliers and hence our procurement team can ensure you get the best for money, while making sure the specifications of the hardware meets your user requirements.

Once purchased, users' workstations will need to be set up on the network and configured to ensure the correct software is installed and user permissions are set. Each user will have individual preferences around the software and we will do our best to meet these requirements while ensuring the company's overall IT policy is adhered to.

Part of the IT policy will be to lock down access to certain websites and prohibit installations of software, set on a user-by-user basis, to reduce the risk of infections entering the IT infrastructure. This is part of how we manage the desktop environment for clients, and is combined with a support desk to ensure that the policy does not get in the way of your team working effectively.

At some stage, each desktop will of course reach the end of its useful life. We can upgrade these machines with additional RAM or hardware capacity, or provide options on replacing them, ensuring that old machines are decommissioned effectively and no confidential or important data left behind.
