Relocation
- making sure a move is for the better
Relocation of your IT systems - whether to a new site or simply
within the same premises - can be a painful and disruptive process.
We can plan and implement the whole project, to keep your business
and your people running smoothly.
Our service covers every detail of planning and moving, right down to the smallest socket positioning. And our experience of handling numerous moves, combined with our expert knowledge of systems installation and set-up, means that if there’s a better or more economical way of doing the job, we’ll already know it.
We carry out a complete breakdown of your IT infrastructure, so that your relocation can be thoroughly planned.
Suitability for your Information Communication Technology (ICT) is one of the most important things to consider when choosing a new location. We’ll help you make that decision, as well as advising on such matters as the situating of your Comms Room, security, positioning of furniture, and the requirements for ventilation, cabling and power. At this stage, we will also make any recommendations on any changes to your IT infrastructure that we feel might be necessary or helpful.
One of the most crucial element in any relocation project is Internet Connectivity. We’ll make sure that all lines have been correctly installed and tested.
Before initiating any decommissioning, a full backup process is scheduled. Servers are allocated the special attention they need, and a time frame is set to avoid any unplanned downtime.
All units are meticulously bubble-wrapped, securely packed and carefully transported by our experienced team.
The infrastructure is positioned in the new location, according to the floor plan we have agreed with you. Any changes to the infrastructure will be implemented at this stage.
Our engineers will test connectivity before any of your users arrive, to ensure that the working infrastructure in your new environment is up and running from the very start.
Expert support will be at hand in the new office, to make sure all users are familiar with their surroundings and that all equipment is fully functioning.
